GTIE SEP 2025 Results Debriefing Session Held

On March 17, 2026, the GTIE Student Entrepreneurship Program (GTIE SEP), an entrepreneurship education program for university students conducted by GTIE (Greater Tokyo Innovation Ecosystem), held a debriefing session at the Tokyo Innovation Base (Yurakucho). In FY2025, students have been working on the creation and verification of business ideas through an overseas dispatch program and theme-specific training programs such as lean launchpads and monozukuri. Through the overseas dispatch program and theme-specific training such as Lean Launchpad and manufacturing, students have worked on the creation and verification of business ideas.

On the day of the event, students who participated in these programs presented their results (pitch sessions) and a variety of ideas that have been refined for commercialization. In addition, students from startup ecosystem centers across Japan also participated, providing an opportunity for exchange and friendly competition that transcended fields and regions.

Awards were given for outstanding presentations at the awards session, and the following students received awards.

  • NEDO Award: Ryoya Sato and Rihee Takeda, Hokkaido University
  • Audience Award: Mr. Yo Sato, The University of Tokyo

In a special lecture, Mr. Mine Ogawa, President of Timey Corporation, was invited to share a practical message based on his entrepreneurial experience under the theme of “How to take a ‘willful step'”. It was a valuable opportunity for the participating students to think about their own careers and challenges.

During the networking time, students and other related parties actively exchanged opinions, providing an opportunity for future collaboration and new challenges.

GTIE will continue to promote entrepreneurship education to encourage students to take on the challenge of solving social issues and to link research results and ideas to social implementation.
