KEIO MEDICAL APP CHALLENGE (K-MACH)] Call for Participants
In recent years, as digital reforms in various industries continue to progress, the use of digital technology in the healthcare sector is rapidly expanding.
In particular, healthcare applications utilizing mobile apps and wearable devices are attracting attention as services that bring new added value to conventional medical device hardware.
This event aims to consolidate the know-how at Keio University and serve as a foundation for the creation of university-originated medical device applications.
Each year the theme of the program medical devices, and this year the theme will be “Infectious Disease Medicine”.
Nearly a year and a half has passed since COVID-19 went viral, and various social issues are being raised every day, and social awareness of “infectious diseases” is changing dramatically.
Various activities are being developed at Keio, and we have invited distinguished lecturers and judges, including Professor Tomoaki Okuda of the Faculty of Science and Technology, who serves as the project for countermeasures against the new type of coronavirus in the Faculty of Science and Technology.
Student members with diverse backgrounds will be matched to form teams and aim to build new applications in four days.
To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, this contest will be held fully remotely using the online conferencing tool ZOOM.
Please apply only if you are able to attend all four days of K-MACH (August 25, September 1, 8, and 15, 2021).
All participation is free of charge.
We would be happy to hear from anyone who is interested in participating, whether you are looking to implement an idea you have or are at a standstill.
