Application for the FY2022 Israel Overseas Study Program ~No Venture, No Victory~ is now open
The program provides young entrepreneurs and student entrepreneurs who aspire to global business development with opportunities to acquire international-level entrepreneurial skills and network with overseas startups, young entrepreneurs, VCs, angels, and universities with cutting-edge technology through intensive programs such as boot camps in Japan and on-site programs in Israel, one of the core locations of the startup ecosystem. The program provides opportunities to acquire entrepreneurial skills at an international level and to network with startups, young entrepreneurs, VCs, angels, and universities with cutting-edge technology.
Since FY 2018, Waseda University has mainly targeted WASEDA-EDGE Human Resource Development Program participants and others, but this year the program will be expanded to include students affiliated with participating universities in the GTIE Consortium (excluding some domestic training programs).

This is a very valuable learning opportunity, and we look forward to your participation.

Training Program Overview:
Domestic Training
This program is designed to improve business model building, finance-related skills, and English pitch and communication skills prior to the on-site training in Israel.
Finance in Entrepreneurship (1) (Basic Finance Seminar): Sunday, November 13, 2022, 9:30-12:00 (conducted online)
Learn the basic knowledge needed to learn finance for starting a business in preparation for the practical part of the Finance Seminar
Finance for Entrepreneurship 2 (Practical Finance Seminar): Sunday, November 20, 2022, 9:30-17:00 (conducted in-person at Waseda University)
Learn the basic knowledge of finance, etc. necessary for starting a business and effective finance case studies to grow as a start-up company
Business Model Building Seminar: Sunday, December 4, 2022, 9:00-18:00 (held at Waseda University)
Learn the basics of the theory necessary to launch a new business from scratch and brush up your business plan through hypothesis testing
Practical pitch exercises: as needed
Gain practical experience by actually pitching your business model at events and other events held in related programs.
Boot Camp for Mastering Debate and Negotiation in English: December 17 (Sat.) – 18 (Sun.), 2022 (2 days and 1 night) (at a training facility near Tokyo)
Intensive training to acquire the skills to debate and negotiate in English and the instantaneous ability to put them into practice.
Online VC Pitch Exercise: Late January to early February 2023 (online)
Pitch your business model to venture capitalists operating in Israel, and brush up your business model and presentation for the training in Israel (for participants in the on-site training in Israel only)
On-site training in Israel
Mid-February to early March (details to be determined)
*Travel, local accommodation, and other major expenses will be covered by the program (some expenses for domestic travel, local transportation, meals, insurance, etc. will be borne by participants).
How to participate
1-a. Please participate in each domestic training program individually.
1-b. Please send an e-mail to the secretariat to express your interest in participating in the “Israel Field Training”. We will inform you of the domestic training required for participation in the on-site training.
*Please note that 1-a and 1-b are in no particular order, but if you wish to participate in the “Israel Field Training” program, please make sure to contact us for 1-b separately from your application for each domestic training program. Please be sure to contact us for 1-b.
**Participants who do not wish to be sent to Israel are also welcome to participate in the in-country training programs.
2. For those who wish to participate in the on-site training in Israel, the program coordinator will select candidates, and the final selection will be made at the Boot Camp for Mastering Debate and Negotiation in English in December 2022.
