The Greater Tokyo Innovation Ecosystem (GTIE) is a platform for “fostering university-launched startups that change the world” led by the University of Tokyo, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Waseda University. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government serves as the lead agency, and 13 universities and startup support organizations participate as joint organizations, with universities and local governments as cooperating organizations.
Since September 2022, the 17 projects selected by GTIE, which began accepting applications in May 2022, have been engaged in commercialization-oriented R&D activities with the support of funds provided by the GAP Fund and mentors.
The GTIE DEMO day FY2022 will be the final presentation of each project.
The judges will include Neesha A. Tambe, leader of the Startup Battlefield at TechCrunch, and Takuya Miyata of Scrum Ventures, prominent VCs leading the startup world, who will judge the final pitches of each project.
There will also be a Keynote Lecture by Mr. Suzuki, President of Moderna Japan, titled “Moderna Style Innovation – mRNA Platform” and networking opportunities for those within and outside the GTIE platform.
Those who are unable to attend the event are welcome to register as soon as possible to attend the program, which can be viewed online.
