How to Change Society through Research? Ammonia Synthesis Catalysts: Challenges for Practical Application in Society

INDEST, an incubation office operated by Tokyo University of Science in Tamachi Campus, is currently hosting various events based on the concept of “fostering university startups that change the world”. One of the most popular events among students is the “INDEST Student Cafe: Let’s Talk about Entrepreneurship” series, where we casually discuss the work/life of Tokyo University of Science entrepreneurs! For the fourth session, we welcome Mr. Nakamura, Representative Director of Tsubame BHB Co. The navigator is Mr. Shoya Mori, a 2nd year master’s student in the materials course at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, who is conducting research on ammonia synthesis in Masaaki Kitano’s lab. This is a cross-talk between two people who are challenging research on catalyst technology and its business implementation, aiming to realize a sustainable society and a mechanism to circulate the start-up ecosystem through collaboration between university laboratories and companies. Whether you are interested in “entrepreneurship,” want to rethink your future career, want to consider social implementation of your research, or are still unsure, please come and join us. This is your chance to find a new career as a researcher and the possibility of contributing to society. We look forward to seeing you at Tamachi INDEST!
