The Greater Tokyo Innovation Ecosystem (GTIE) is a platform for 18 universities and research institutions in the Tokyo metropolitan area that aims to nurture entrepreneurial talent and develop university-based startups that will change the world. Of these, students (undergraduate and graduate) are invited to participate in the GTIE Student Entrepreneurship Program 2025 (GTIE SEP2025), an entrepreneurship education program for all students at the 13 universities participating in the GTIE Entrepreneurship Education Program.
GTIE will hold a practical “Entrepreneurship Advanced Training” for students who intend to start a business in the near future or who have already experienced entrepreneurship.
In this training course,
– Practical knowledge of capital policy, finance, etc.
– Real challenges faced after starting a business
– Points to be prepared for starting a business
The training will provide practical tips on how to grow farther and higher, including practical knowledge of capital policy, finance, and other issues faced after starting a business.
This training is also a valuable opportunity to meet like-minded people and inspire each other.
We invite all student entrepreneurs who are serious about taking on this challenge to join us.
*This training program is open to the following 13 universities.
The University of Tokyo, Waseda University, Tokyo University of Science, University of Tsukuba, Chiba University, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Ochanomizu University, Kanagawa University of Health and Welfare, Yokohama National University, Yokohama City University, Keio University, Tokyo Metropolitan University, and Shibaura Institute of Technology.

Through the training, participants will practice the liberal arts for management (business strategy, finance and investor analysis) that startups are expected to acquire in order to be created, grow and succeed in creating new styles and values.

Session 1: Challenges of the startup ecosystem and liberal arts necessary for entrepreneurs and support personnel
Session 2: Financial capital strategy (capital policy in the broad sense) and the nature of failure
Session 3: Preferred stock and subscription rights in equity finance practice
Lecturers
Takuya Nakagawa, President, Academic Gangster Inc.
Mr. Nakagawa is involved in improving corporate value for clients by advising business companies and institutional investors on business strategy, capital and financial policies, fund procurement, voting standards, and human resource policies. He is also involved in various institutional reforms and revitalization of local economies in cooperation with central government agencies, local governments, academia, and stock exchanges.

Adopters can use the co-working space at INDEST, Tamachi Campus of Tokyo University of Science anytime until the end of March 2026 . (except for holidays and closing hours).
There is no fee to participate in this program . However, participants are responsible for their own transportation and communication expenses to and from the venues in Japan.
