The Greater Tokyo Innovation Ecosystem (GTIE) is a platform for 18 universities and research institutions in the Tokyo metropolitan area that aims to nurture entrepreneurial talent and develop university-based startups that will change the world. GTIE Student Entrepreneurship Program 2025 (GTIE SEP 2025), an entrepreneurship education program for all students (undergraduate and graduate students) at the 13 universities participating in the Entrepreneurship Education Program.
GTIE SEP 2025 “Monozukuri Training – Innovation Program for Students” utilizes Sakura Deeptech Shibuya’s DryLab, which was established in Shibuya, and provides students with the opportunity to develop their own ideas for solving problems and to create hardware and products (prototypes) to address those problems. The program will utilize the dry lab at Sakura Deeptech Shibuya, which was established in Shibuya, to create hardware and product prototypes based on the ideas of participating students to solve their own problems. Through the training, students will experience the process of realizing their own ideas as business products.
Many of the students participating in this training program are new to manufacturing. The products and business models completed by the students through the training will be presented at the results presentation on February 21 (Saturday).
The first training session: November 15, 2025 (Saturday)
Business Idea Training
Students will create their own business ideas and lay the foundation for commercialization by learning how to identify market needs, identify issues, and come up with ideas, which are necessary for manufacturing.

Second training: November 27, 2025 (Thursday)
Dry Lab Equipment Training
Participants learned techniques for actually creating prototypes, including basic operation, safety management, and quality control of various 3D printers and other equipment essential for manufacturing.

Third training session January 23, 2026 (Friday)
CAD training
Participants acquire design skills that are at the core of the manufacturing process and acquire the ability to express ideas as concrete design data through drawing and 3D modeling using CAD software. Students will also learn the concepts necessary for “manufacturing as a product.
