Shigeo Kagami, Professor and Deputy Director, Industry-Academia Collaboration Promotion Division, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Hitotsubashi University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IMEDE (now IMD), Switzerland, and a Doctor of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University, USA. After working at Boston Consulting Group, he participated in the establishment of Corporate Directions (CDI) as a founding partner in 1986, and served as the lead director and senior vice president and office manager of CDI in the United States. He has 15 years of management consulting experience. After receiving his degree, he became a partner of Heidrick & Struggle, one of the world’s largest executive search firms. He has worked on corporate governance reform of Japanese companies. He became a faculty member of the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Tokyo in 2002, and was appointed Professor and Director of the Commercialization Department of the University of Tokyo’s Industry-University Collaboration Division in 2004. He has been involved in university-launched ventures, support for student-launched ventures, education for student entrepreneurs, and education for fostering human resources for innovation among researchers. He is the President of the Japan Venture Association, the Representative Director and Chairman of AIESEC Japan, an NPO, and the recipient of the 1st Shuichi Matsuda Award of the Japan Venture Association (2015).
Hitoshi Tomioka Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Terraigistiance, Inc.
Graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business, U.S. (M.B.A., 2014) Joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 2004, where he was in charge of acquiring power assets and setting up and investing in growth company investment funds in Silicon Valley. Established Terraigistiance in January 2005 with the aim of social implementation of Professor Emeritus Akira Tachi’s technology at the University of Tokyo, where he currently works.
