On the morning of March 17, 2026, the same day as the GTIE Student Entrepreneurship Program (GTIE SEP) results briefing, a workshop was held at Tokyo Innovation Base (Yurakucho) to review the GTIE Overseas Sending Program for University Students.
Exchange among participating students beyond the framework of the program
Last year, GTIE implemented three overseas dispatch programs, sending students to Toronto, Canada (5 students), University of California, San Diego (UCSD, 7 students), and Boston, USA (9 students). Participants came from seven universities: the University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of Science, Waseda University, Keio University, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Chiba University, and Yokohama National University.
GTIE Ecosystem Talk by GTIE Co-Chair Professor Tsujimoto
In this workshop, participating students shared their experiences and learnings from the field and discussed how to apply them to future research and business creation. They also exchanged opinions about the ideal startup ecosystem in the Tokyo area that GTIE is aiming for and what role they would like to play in it.

The day provided an opportunity for active exchanges that transcended the boundaries of universities and programs, and heightened awareness of new challenges that can be taken up through overseas experience.
