We Held the GTIE-SEP 2026 Kickoff Event!

We held the GTIE-SEP 2026 kickoff event on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Although the weather was unfortunately poor that day—with rain lingering after a typhoon had passed—many students gathered at the GCC Common Room, the event venue, and the event was filled with energy and enthusiasm from start to finish.

Students who participated in this event shared a common desire to “take on the challenge of solving social issues,” “explore entrepreneurship and innovation,” and “meet new peers.” Through workshops, networking among participants, and discussions with entrepreneurs and industry professionals, each attendee had the opportunity to gain new insights and inspiration.

Feedback from participating students included:

• “I was able to meet peers who share similar goals.”

• “The workshops were fun, and I learned a lot from the process of first identifying a problem and then devising a solution.”

• “I hadn’t really thought about my future, but hearing from people in various roles was inspiring.”

• “Hearing firsthand from entrepreneurs made me want to take on a challenge of my own.”

• “The other students were highly motivated, which was very inspiring.”

These were some of the comments we received.

What was particularly impressive was seeing students—even though they were meeting for the first time—actively interacting and discussing their mutual interests and ideas. New connections were formed throughout the venue, making this event the first step toward building the community that GTIE-SEP aims to foster.

GTIE-SEP will continue to develop programs and events that enable students to take their first steps toward tackling social issues. We are already very excited to see what kind of growth and challenges the participants will demonstrate in the future.
