Sponsored by the Innovation design Platform and the Keio University Health and Medical Venture Award Executive Committee, we are pleased to invite Mr. Takashi Seisen, an angel investor, entrepreneur, Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration, to give a presentation on business plans and the key points of the pitch talk. The event will be held at the following location: Tokyo, Japan.

If you have no experience in pitch talks, or if you want to actually turn your ideas and research results into a business, please feel free to join us!

<Profile of Takashi Seisen


Executive Manager of JFIT, Center for Japanese Studies, University of California, San Diego.

He is an angel investor and entrepreneur living in San Diego, California, and a member of TechCoast Angels.

He has been doing business in the U.S. since 1990, serving as Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning for several Boston-based pharmaceutical ventures, including ImmuLogic and Indevus, and in 2000 he became President of Tanabe Research Laboratories, USA, the U.S. subsidiary of Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation. In 2001, he founded MediciNova, Inc. as a spin-off and served as CEO. He took the company public in 2005.

Since then, he has been based in San Diego, where he serves as an angel investor and board member of his portfolio biotech companies.
