GTIE DEMO DAY 2026 will be held!

A pitch event will be held by research teams selected for the GAP Fund (**) provided by GTIE (*), a university startup ecosystem centered on universities in the Tokyo metropolitan area. This is a rare opportunity to experience the enthusiasm of researchers aiming to create new businesses and industries born from cutting-edge research seeds. Witness the eve of the birth of a university-launched startup and feel the possibilities of the future.

Researchers who aim to start businesses from their own research and cutting-edge technologies and all the players who create startups from universities will gather at this event. If you are interested in the university startup ecosystem, please join us for an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas.

*Greater Tokyo Innvation Ecosystem (GTIE) is a platform for building a university startup ecosystem consisting of universities (**) in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

***GAP Fund is a program that supports activities aimed at bridging the gap between basic research and commercialization at universities and creating university-launched startups.

***GTIE is working with 23 universities and research institutes, more than 150 local governments, and private companies to foster a university-launched startup ecosystem in the Tokyo metropolitan area through a variety of activities. (As of May 2026)
