Announcement of Startup Academia Meetup Vol. 6

In the final installment of the Startup Academia Meetup,Professor Tsujimoto, who is leading the university-centered startup ecosystem as the program representative of IdP and GTIE, and Professor Ashizawa, the program co-chair of GTIE, will have a conversation!

The two speakers will talk about their university-centered activities at Greater Tokyo. They will discuss the potential of the startup ecosystem.

The Startup Ecosystem Tokyo Consortium was established by the four participating universities (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Keio University, Tokyo Medical and Dental University, and the University of Tokyo) and aims to foster and nurture a global university-launched startup ecosystem in Tokyo and other regions, together with partner institutions and other platforms within the consortium. The “Innovation Design Platform (IdP)” aims to foster and nurture a global university startup ecosystem in Tokyo and other regions.

We are holding a meet-up study session to strengthen the network of information sharing among the parties involved in the IdP ecosystem and to create an environment where university-launched ventures can be born. Of course, we welcome those who are not involved in IdP to participate in order to foster the ecosystem.

For the 6th and final meeting, we will have Prof. Masaharu Tsujimoto of Tokyo Institute of Technology and Associate Prof. Michiko Ashizawa of Yokohama City University, both IdP representatives, as speakers to share their research on the ecosystem and discuss “What Ecosystem Researchers Talk about as Necessary to Develop the Entrepreneurial Environment”. For all those involved in university-launched ventures, we invite you to join us.

This is a very valuable opportunity for university-launched venture professionals, academic entrepreneurs, VCs, people in the private sector who are practicing or planning to practice collaboration with university-launched ventures, and CVCs.
