INDEST is an incubation office operated by Tokyo Institute of Technology on the Tamachi campus. Under the concept of “fostering university-launched startups that will change the world,” various events are currently being held.

This time, as the first co-hosted event with YVP(Tokyo Tech Yokohama Venture Plaza ), we are holding “Global Market Strategy: Aiming at the World Market from Japan! ~Brazilian Entrepreneurs and Japanese Academia & SMEs Team Up to Challenge the World”, we will present a cross-talk session between Mr. BENTO MASSAHIKO KOIKE, CEO of EVERON Corporation, a YVP resident, and Mr. Tomohiro HAYASHI, Associate Professor at Tokyo Tech’s School of Materials Science and Engineering.

Mr. BENTO MASSAHIKO KOIKE is the founder of EVERON Corporation, and together with its CKO (Chief Knowledge Officer), Dr. Tomohiro Hayashi, Associate Professor at Tokyo Tech’s School of Materials Science and Engineering, they are developing graphene supercapacitors with high environmental compatibility and energy storage performance. He aims to contribute to the development of a sustainable society. He started his own business in Japan, focusing on the technical skills and supply chain of Japanese small and medium enterprises (SMEs). He also founded Tecsis, a startup in Brazil that produces wind turbine blades, and grew it into a large international company with 7,500 employees. (Tecsis’ growth strategy was featured as a case study in the Harvard Business Review. He and Dr. Tomohiro Hayashi will talk about his path to date, his mindset as an entrepreneur, and the key points for Japanese startups to compete globally. We hope that the cross-talk between the two will be useful for your future. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
